There’s something enduring and timeless about snow globes. Christmas and cosy winter scenes comes to mind. You feel like sitting next to a fire sipping your favourite cuppa, enjoying the flickering lights of your Christmas tree. Here in Australia, it’s summer from December to February. Christmas is usually warm and there’s no snow in sight. It’s hard for us to evoke this feeling because we’d rather be at the beach or the pool. However, there’s no reason why we can’t have snow in our cards!
For my Christmas card, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Still Scenes Stamp Set, Snow Globe Shaker Domes and Snow Globe Scenes Dies. By adding a bit of Snowflake Sequins and Snowfall Accents Puff Paint, it was easy to create a magical winter.
What about snow globes for birthdays? Of course we can! Here I used a piece of acetate to resemble glass but you can also use the Snow Globe Shaker Dome if you wish. I simply stamped the bubbles from the Beauty Abounds stamp set to mimick gumballs. Try to use as many colours as you can to make it more fun.
I hope that you enjoyed today’s card inspiration and try your hand at making snow globe cards. They are a lot of fun and will delight your family and friends when they receive it.
