Craft Classes Embossing Leaves Stampin' Up! Sympathy and Thinking of You Technique

Sympathy and Thinking of You Cards

Sympathy and Thinking of You cards

Sympathy and Thinking of You cards are probably the hardest cards to make because it’s not the happiest of events.

You’re not alone when you find yourself at a loss for words during stressful and challenging times. Words don’t come easily when friends or family suffer from a debilitating or life-threatening illness and when someone dies as a result of that or an accident.

And then there are also times when you want to send a card to a friend who’s marriage just ended just to let them know that you’re there. Or, to a friend who just lost a job. Let’s not forget friends who lost their beloved pets too.

Cards are appreciated during happy times but more so during sad times. Connection is very important during times of distress and so remember to send a card. It feels good to know that there’s someone who cares.

Today, I’m sending good thoughts your way and I hope that you will too when you need to send a sympathy or thinking of you cards.

Here’s how I made the card:

  1. Cut to size a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and attach it to a card base.
  2. Heat emboss a greeting on a piece of Basic White cardstock and then cut it in the shape of a banner.
  3. Attach to your card and embellish with leaves for a finishing touch.

Visit the online store for current stamp sets that are appropriate for sympathy cards.

Would you rather make them in class? Let me know so we can organise one for you.
