Craft Classes Fun Fold Pop-Up Cards Stampin' Up! Technique

Magic Slider Cards

Magic slider cards are super fun.

If you’ve seen tutorials on slider cards, chances are you’ve come across the ones that use plastic sheets. The problem with that is, it’s so slippery to stamp on plastic. More often than not, the images come out messy or smudgy. So, I rummaged through my card stock pile and looked for an alternative. Vellum seems to be the best thing to use.

I have to admit, these cards are not the easiest to make but once you mastered the technique, it’s so rewarding. The element of surprise makes it so much fun. This technique will give you the opportunity to innovate.

So, how does it work? The image in front is stamped on a specialty paper called vellum. When you slide it up, you get the same image but with colour. It’s like magic. How did that happen? With a bit of engineering and precise stamping, you can make it happen.

If you would like to make magic slider cards using vellum, let me know so I can organise a class for you. Bring along your friends too so you can share the experience.
