Birthdays Card Making Tip Christmas Embossing Handmade Stampin' Up!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody. Amidst the pompous and abundant celebrations with family and friends, I hope that you can find a moment to reflect upon the blessings you received this year.

My Christmas card for you is a simple and humble one. As I was making this card, I pondered about the little boy born in a manger long ago to an unwed mother and a carpenter father. Such humble beginnings and yet his story became the greatest story ever told. Jesus Christ is the son of God, the King of all kings and today we celebrate his birthday. Happy birthday baby Jesus!

Although this card has no religious icons nor religious greeting in it, it has the simplicity and regal element I was aiming for. I played around with purple and gold which is regal and elegant in every way – colours fit for a King.

Incidentally, purple has also been chosen as Pantone’s colour for 2018. So there, how fitting that I have chosen purple as an inspiration for this card.

I can’t stress it enough but I just love how Stampin’ Up! design their stamp sets so that they are versatile to use all year long. The Christmas tree is from Foxy Friends, intended as woodland images but perfect to use for Christmas too. This set is keeper!
