Let’s use the Sweet Cupcake stamp set for a fun technique.
Aren’t cupcakes the sweetest when used in birthday cards? This stamp set layers the icing and cups beautifully. Try layering them in monotones, like how I’ve done with my cards.
I love that the stamps are photopolymer for see-through stamping. It has coordinating dies too for ease of cutting.
Here’s how I made my card:
- Cut to size your Designer Series Paper (DSP) and then attach it to a Basic White card front.
- Die cut an oval on a piece of Basic White cardstock and then attach it to the card front.
- Stamp your cupcake icing on a piece of Basic White cardstock in monotones (the stamps are numbered so you’ll know in which order to layer. Do the cupcake cup also.
- Use the coordinating dies to cut the icing and cups and then assemble on the card front. You may use Dimensionals to elevate.
- Die cut the word “Sweet” and then attach it to your card front.
- Attach your finished card front to a card base. You may also embellish with ribbon or gems for a finishing touch.

If you notice, there are extra dies in the set that you can cut out, like the swirls and the banner.
