A step panel card consists of a base and a step.
It folds flat and fits a regular size envelope. It’s a fun way of making cards and a lovely way to show off beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Here’s how I made my card:
- Trim your A4 cardstock lengthwise in half. Score every 1-1/4 inches starting at the very bottom (do this 4 times). Set aside the other half of the cardstock.
- Fold the score lines and attach the last fold to form a step and a back panel.
- Attach a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the back panel, just above the step.
- Trim the other cardstock to 3 x 5-7/8 inches and score every 1-1/2 inches starting at the very bottom (do this 2 times).
- Fold the score lines and attach to the back of the the first panel. Attach the other end to the front of the panel.
- Attach a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the front panel.
- Embellish with die-cuts, sequins or gems as a finishing touch. Don’t forget to stamp and attach a greeting too. I used the Butterflies Thinlits Dies to cut butterflies.
