Card Inspiration Embossing Leaves Stampin' Up! Wedding

Forever Fern Card

Forever Fern is the star of today’s card inspiration. This set already possesses gorgeous and elegant images so there’s no need to mess around with it. For this reason, I kept the layout clean and simple. You can easily make this in multiples and stamp greetings for other occasions such as birthdays, sympathy etc.

Forever Fern stamp set by Stampin' Up! and stamped leaves using Pretty Peacock and Cinnamon Cider ink pads to show how images look when stamped.

So, let’s make a card.

Pick a fern that you like from the set and ink that up with Shaded Spruce. Next, ink up another fern with Versamark and stamp that on top of your first fern, Sprinkle gold embossing powder and then heat. Ink up the sentiment ‘hello’ in Versmark, sprinkle gold embossing powder and then heat. Lastly, add the spray background in Crumb Cake to fill up some of that white space around it.

Fun tips:

Create a bouquet of 2-3 ferns in different colours and then heat emboss one of the ferns. It will look very pretty as a wedding card. If you notice there is a sentiment in the set that says ‘ love & laughter forever after’ which is perfect for a wedding card.

Try heat-embossing in other metallic colours too such as silver or copper. Also, try it black and white using white embossing powder.

The stamp set has coordinating dies so you can cut and layer the leaves. Also, embossing some of the leaves will result in depth and texture in your card.

Here’s a checklist to help you make this at home:

I hope that you enjoyed this card inspiration and that you’ll give this a go. I absolutely love the Forever Fern stamp set and I’m sure that you will too. Happy card making!
