Starting from Scratch: My Card Making 101 Private Sessions

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how overwhelming it can feel when you want to try a new hobby but have absolutely no idea where to start. Walk into any craft shop or browse online, and you’re instantly flooded with thousands of stamps, endless ink shades, cutting machines, and tools you don’t even know the names of yet. It’s enough to make you close the tab and put it in the “too hard” basket.

That is exactly why I’ve decided to open up my studio for something brand new: dedicated, private Card Making 101 sessions designed specifically for the absolute beginner.

If you have never touched a paper trimmer or stamped an image in your life, this is for you.

Because it’s just the two of us, there is absolutely zero pressure. You don’t have to worry about keeping up with a big group, and there is no such thing as a silly question. We sit down together, hands-on, and strip away all the noise so you can focus on the core fundamentals.

During our session, we will cover the real essentials you need to actually get started on the right track:

  • The Right Tools: Which basic materials are actually worth purchasing first (and what you can skip for now).
  • How to Use Them: The correct way to hold, cut, and stamp so you get clean results every time using quality gear like Stampin’ Up! supplies.
  • Equipment Care: How to clean and look after your stamps and pads so they last for years.
  • Finding Inspiration: Where to look for layout ideas and how to plan a card without feeling stuck staring at a blank piece of cardstock.

The goal isn’t just to complete one specific project during our time together. Instead, I want to give you the actual skills, confidence, and foundation so that when you go home, you can immediately sit down and start making those milestone event cards (e.g. birthdays, Christmas, Thank You, etc) that you’ve always wanted to create yourself.

If you’ve been wanting to take that first step into paper crafting with a dedicated cardmaking class in Melbourne, I would love to welcome you into my space.

These are fully flexible, private 1:1 sessions. For more details on pricing, availability, or to ask any questions at all, please contact me directly. I’d love to chat and get you started on your crafting journey.
