Take Your Pick Tool – Essential of the Month

If you have ever found yourself chasing a tiny sequin around your desk or struggling to peel the backing off a piece of foam tape, you are going to love this month’s featured tool. While big machines often get the glory, it is often the smallest scrapbooking supplies that save the most time!

For this instalment of my Essential of the Month series, I am highlighting the Take Your Pick tool. It is essentially the “Swiss Army Knife” of the craft room, designed to simplify those meticulous little tasks that can sometimes be a bit fiddly for our fingers.

Stampin' Up! Take Your Pick tool

Your New Crafting Best Friend

The Take Your Pick tool is a multipurpose powerhouse. On one end, you have a clever tacky putty tip that is perfect for picking up tiny paper accents, sequins, or beads and placing them exactly where they need to go. No more sticky fingers or tweezers required!

The other end is where the real magic happens. It features interchangeable, double-ended tips that I find myself reaching for constantly. Whether I am using the paper piercer to create a hole for a brad or the mini spatula to lift a delicate die-cut without tearing it, this tool handles it all.

I have used this tool to help with precision in many of my favourite projects. You can see it helping me navigate delicate details in my Pergamano-Inspired Technique post, and it was a lifesaver when assembling the tiny elements for the Trimming The Town Card.

Features I Love

  • The Tacky Putty End: A simple twist dispenses more putty. It is like a magnet for all those tiny bits of “bling” that usually end up on the floor!
  • Four Tools in One: Between the paper piercer, mini spatula, and two sizes of styluses, I have everything I need for 3D projects and fine-tuning my handmade cards.
  • Ergonomic Grip: At 16.5 cm long, it fits comfortably in my hand, giving me the steady control I need for stamping techniques that require a gentle touch.
  • Protective Caps: I really appreciate that it comes with end caps to keep the sharp piercer safe and the putty clean when it is stored in my drawer.
